EWMS has two Primary Classrooms for ages 3 to 6. Each classroom has a Head Teacher and two assistant teachers, with 30 students.
EWMS has one Toddler Classroom for ages 2 to 31/2. This classroom has a Head Teacher and two assistant teachers, with 20 students. It is a wonderful environment for the little ones to learn and grow!
Because we are living in an international community, we have a nice blend of American students as well as Japanese students. While all of our classrooms are conducted in English, we include Japanese and Okinawan culture in our curriculum, as well as introducing some of the Japanese language.
Our school currently offers classes after school, for those children interested in learning a second language. For our Japanese students, we offer English as a Second Language (ESL) class twice a week during the school year. These classes include basic through advanced English. For our American students, we offer Japanese as a Second Language (JSL) class once a week during the school year. These classes include basic through advanced Japanese. All classes are taught at the school by one of our staff members. There is a minimal additional fee to take these classes.
